Leave Those Kids Alone

Sunday, September 1st – 1:00pm

Hey! Teacher…! LEAVE THOSE KIDS ALONE!” Because the kids are alright, and they wanna rock! Leave Those Kids Alone is the area’s newest classic rock band, playing hit songs written decades before they were even born! From age 8 to 15, this quartet (accompanied by a multitasking roadie/bass player/ manager/Dad) are ready to rock!

The band is made up of 8-year-old Addisyn Bonadonna on drums, her older brother 11-year-old Alex Bonadonna on lead guitar and vocals, 13-year-old Lakeshore native John Dorman on keyboards and vocals and 15-year-old Timothy Hole on lead vocals and guitar.

These multi-instrumentalists are products of the Canadian Conservatory of Music and well-known local musician Pete Palazzolo, who’s experiment to pair (then) 8-year-old Alex with 11-year-old Tim at weekly practices led to the band which is now playing gigs across Windsor-Essex.

Craig Campbell

Saturday, August 31 – 8:00pm

Long praised as a modern link to the traditional values of Country’s past, Campbell waited to release a new collection of music for five long years – and that was finally over when he released SEE YOU TRY EP on June 8, 2018. “For the past few years, I’ve created and found some of the best music of my career. Campbell’s patience paid off in the form of seven diverse tracks – including the hit singles “See You Try” and “Outskirts of Heaven.”

Growing up in the small town of Lyons, Georgia, a mix of musical gifts and hard work set Campbell’s path early on. After falling in love with classic Country, he played keyboards in his mother’s church and then on the road for an up-and-coming singer at the time named Luke Bryan, eventually landing a coveted bandleader gig in the famous Nashville honky-tonk, The Stage. But with easy charisma and smooth, expressive vocal chops, Campbell was soon noticed, leading to a string of singles and two albums which earned comparisons to neo-traditional icons like Alan Jackson and Randy Travis. Campbell’s latest single (“See You Try”) is something special. Written by Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard with Bart Butler, James McNair and Jordan Schmidt, the hot-blooded anthem builds on Campbell’s reputation for Country authenticity. Produced by Butler, “See You Try” moves Campbell’s sound forward with a grooving, new-school arrangement, while still staying true to his roots.

“[Classic Country] is just what I grew up on,” he explains. “It’s what I cut my teeth on, and it’s what I love. … I told Bart, ‘I don’t need to go down a road just to keep up with the Joneses. I feel like we can make it awesome and make it Country.’”

Kelly Prescott

Friday, August 30th, 2019 – 8:00pm

With her smoky and sultry vocals, singer/songwriter Kelly Prescott recently wrapped up her first tour across the U.S. with Kyle Cook of Matchbox Twenty.

When not on the road, the country artist splits her time between Nashville and her home-base of Toronto.  She’s most recently been working in the studio with producer Jason Mater on new music expected later this year to follow-up her second solo album, 2016’s Hillbilly Jewels.

Kelly celebrates a long lineage of a very musically inclined family, the third-generation singer grew up in an award-winning studio where she was able to hone her craft of song writing.  Penning such fan favourites as “Heels over Head” and “Coming Home to You (ft. Buddy Miller)” her new music expands on her talent and unique vocals to reveal tracks like “Who gets the Church” and “Leavin’ Her” which was released worldwide June 8th.
