James Gibb, Rick Duin & The Silvertones: A Tribute to Elvis Presley & Johnny Cash

Friday, September 4th 8:00 pm

James Gibb Relive the excitement and raw energy of Elvis in the fifties with award-winning Elvis Tribute Artist - James Gibb from Harrow, Ontario. From the famous sneer and flashy clothes to the wild dance moves, James recreates the magic of Elvis in his early years.

Since starting out James has gone on to win 1st place in the Non-professional Early Years Category in Brantford in 2007 and in Windsor, Collingwood, Rockton and Kitchener in 2008, also claiming the People’s Choice award in Windsor and Kitchener.Rick Duin

Ricky D has been a successful tribute artist for the past nine years. For the last 2-1/2 years he has been performing a tribute to the man in black "Johnny Cash". With an ability to create a strong resemblance to an unforgetable voice and a stage presence worthy of the country icon. He has been in poplar demand throughout North America. He won the first ever Rock of Ages championship, a contest involving tributes from all genres of music, and has won or been a finalist in many others. Here today to sing some classic Cash songs from his amazing career. Please welcome Ricky D Cash.

The Silvertones Brothers Joel & Chris Mayville front the swinging Canadian Country/Rockabilly act known as The Silvertones. Formed in 1997, this band has been pounding out that infectious Jump’n Country music style for over 10 years. They’ve played at numerous festivals like the Montreal Rockabilly Fest and the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender where they were honoured to have the great Dave Gonzalez of The Paladins/Hacienda Bros. come up on stage and play with the band. In 2007 The Silvertones added long time friend and thumper-extraordinare Kenny Bruce on upright bass. Kenny not only brings a ton of skill and experience to the band, but also an authentic old school sound that perfectly compliments the music. Steel player Dale Rivard has also been recently added to the line up. Dale is known as "The Wizard" and he is the secret weapon every band would love to have.

"Moments That Matter", the latest CD from acclaimed country music Aaron Lines, is all about family. It makes sense considering the sole reason he moved back to Canada from Nashville a year ago was to be closer to his family. That setiment is evident in the title track of the new CD which Aaron co-wrote with a friend....the chorus screams "there’s a big pot of gold at the top of the ladder, but you can’t buy back moments that matter".

"This kind of heartfelt lyric is what fans have come to expect from Aaron over the years through songs like "Waitin’ on the Wonderful" (the most played song on Canadian country radio 2005), "The Lights of Hometown" (the most played song on Canadian country radio 2006), "Living Out Loud", "You can’t Hide Beautiful" (top 3 song in the U.S., #1 video in the U.S.), "20 Years Late"...and the list goes on. The new CD is no exception with songs like "Somebody’s Son" an ode to a fallen Canadian soldier and "Everyday Heroes" a testament to the often overlooked heroes in our society. With 11 hits under his belt, Aaron has continued to hone his songwriting over the years and his wide arrays of fans are in for a treat with his new CD."

"This new collection also shows a different side of Aaron, one that most of his fans haven’t seen to date. The tongue and cheek sing along "Cheaper to Keep her" ...a humorous take on a friend’s divorce and "Let’s Get Drunk and Fight" ...a song about married people in a rut are sure to become party anthem’s for crowds around the country. "I noticed that a lot of my fans only knew one side of me, the serious side. I wanted to let people know me better on this CD. I enjoy joking around a lot and wanted to lighten things up a bit", states Lines."

"So whether it is a serious love ballad or a honky tonk sing along you’re looking for, this CD has what you want and everything in between."
